dharbin: THE WONDERFUL ZEBRA. An “Hour Drawing,” available to purchase here, and the 200+ set of them so far here. Subject suggestion for this one was “wonder woman, zebra, bicycle.” Usually I wouldn’t do something this specific (or cuckoo), but this is one of a number of very late drawings I donated to the successful Kickstarter drive for the Little Heart Comics Anthology, which was a benefit for the marriage equality movement in Minnesota. This is a cause I’m very passionate about, especially living in a state (NC) that passed a constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage last year. You can buy a copy of the anthology here: it’s great, and includes work by luminaries of alternative comics including Emily Carroll, Jeremy Sorese, Christopher Butcher, and many many more. Many thanks to 2D Cloud for allowing me to be a small part of the funding drive, albeit an extraordinarily tardy one.
